How to Remove a Toyota Valve Cover

How to Remove a Toyota Valve Cover

The valve cover prevents oil from spraying out of the engine and into the engine compartment. It is where you fill the engine with oil and gain access to the rocker arms. The gasket between the cylinder head and the valve cover creates a seal to prevent oil leakage. Over time, extreme heat and oil may break the gasket down. Remove the valve cover to gain access to the gasket.
